CBD for Horses

Phytocannabinoid Rich Oil (containing over 90% CBD [cannabidiol]) is an oil that is extracted from hemp and contains beneficial cannabinoids; our product contains over 90% CBD (cannabidiol) and terpenes (1-4%).
Endocannabinoids found in our Phytocannabinoid Rich Hemp Oil bind to receptors in the body’s endocannaboinoid system (ECS).
Our bodies are made to utilize endocannabinoids. There are two main receptors in the body, CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily found in the brain and when activated, play a role in memory processing, motor control and pain regulation. CB2 receptors are primarily found in the immune system. PCR binds to these receptors and produces anti-inflammatory effects.
Our Phytocannabinoid Rich Oil is extracted from the whole plant and includes CBD, CBN and CBC plus terpenes and flavonoids. These compounds create what is called the entourage effect in the body.

How do I administer CBD to my horse?

We have two options for your horse. Tincture and pellets. The tincture comes in a 1 oz and 2 oz size. We supply a syringe port and special syringe for ease of dosing. We give full disclosure on what’s in our tincture, the amount of CBD and the typical dosage for a horse. The 1 oz tincture contains 30 doses of 25 mg CBD (1 ML of tincture) and the 2 oz tincture contains 60 doses of 25 mg CBD (1 ML of tincture).

The pellets contain 100 mg minimum of CBD in 1 Tablespoon. One and a quarter pound of pellets contains a 60 day supply at 200 mg per day. The pellets are very palatable and horses readily eat them in feed.

Minimum dosing for a horse is 25 mg per day. Typical dosing is 50-200 mg per day depending on issue you are treating.

Use the syringe to place the tincture directly in the lower lip of your horse.  This ensures the best absorption.
